This year outing will be scheduled on 14 Dec 2008. We will join the tour organized by Hong Tai Travel to Lamma Island. The trip is sponsored by Servier Hong Kong Ltd. The details are enclosed inside the attached file. The trip is free for members of HKGS. Each member can bring up to 3 accompanying persons at an administration fee of HK$50 per accompanying person. The capacity is 40 people and the rule is first come first serve.
The deadline of application is 1 Dec 2008 so please act quickly. Annual Scientific Meeting/ Annual Dinner 2008
The Annual Scientific Meeting of 2008 and Annual Dinner will take place on 21st June 2006 (Saturday) at the Ballroom 3rd floor of the Sheraton Hotel, Tsimshatsui, Kowloon.
On behalf of the organizing committee of the ASM of 2008, I wish to invite you all to participate in this annual event.
The 2008 ASM will feature a special symposium on Endocrinology in Old Age with eminent speakers from overseas and locally sharing with us their research and experience in these aspects. There is also a symposium on community services for elderly people in Hong Kong and Scotland discussing issues on health promotion and care of frail elderly people respectively.
A call for abstracts for Free Paper Session has been announced in February and we are expecting keen competition for the best paper awards. Winners of the best papers in Asian Journal in Geriatrics and Gerontology are also invited to present their excellent research work.
